West Wicklow Cancer Support is an all-inclusive support network. It provides information, support, counselling and complementary therapies for its members who have been affected by cancer. It is non-denominational, unbiased,
confidential and regulated.
West Wicklow Cancer Support began in 2015, based in Blessington in County Wicklow, Ireland initiated by Oncology nurse Brid Murphy. Brid felt that there was an absence of local and community based support networks
for people who have been affected by cancer. This not only includes the patients themselves but also their carers, friends and family.
WWCS is supported by The Irish Cancer Society, a point of contact between the hospital enivornment and the community
for cancer sufferers.
